📖 Water as origin and theatrical language

Inspired by the Bajau or Badjao people of Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia—communities that have lived off the sea for generations and developed an extraordinary physiological adaptation to dive deep—this piece reflects on the liquid environment where human life begins. If we are formed in water from the very first cell division, why don't we remain in it permanently?

The two siblings at the heart of the story ponder this question as they long to become fish. Much of the performance takes place submerged or thoroughly soaked in water, building a powerful narrative through striking visual effects, movement, and inventive scenographic uses of water.

🎭 Ponten Pie and the Zir Zir Hara! program

Ponten Pie crafts a poetic universe where physical theatre and object manipulation take center stage, telling the entire story without the need for words. A distinctive encounter at Kutxa Fundazioa Kluba that invites audiences to reconnect with the most sensory side of contemporary stage art.

✨ A captivating visual and poetic journey diving deep into the essence of non-verbal theatre.
