📖 The journey of Jone and Jokin

Jone and Jokin are in their thirties and have shared eight years together. Looking to disconnect and experience something new, they embark on an Interrail trip through Europe. Yet they board the train in very different places emotionally: while Jokin feels entirely settled and content, Jone senses that something is missing and wonders whether Jokin is truly the partner of her life.

Right at the start of their journey, they cross paths with an eccentric elderly couple without a fixed destination. The older travellers suggest a detour to the island of Corfu to swim across the Sidari canal, where myth claims that couples who make the crossing seal their eternal love. As the trip unfolds, Jone begins to harbour a disturbing and irrational suspicion: could that elderly couple actually be themselves forty years into the future?
