📖 Chamber dialogue between saxophones, txistu, accordion, and percussion

The concert presents an encounter between two musical projects with well-defined instrumental profiles. On one side, Quasar Saxophone Quartet showcases the sonic palette of the four classic saxophone registers, performed by Marie-Chantal Leclair (soprano saxophone), Mathieu Leclair (alto saxophone), André Leroux (tenor saxophone), and Jean-Marc Brouchard (baritone saxophone).

Alongside them, Trio Zukan brings a unique instrumental configuration formed by Jon Ansorena on the txistu, Maria Zubimendi on the accordion, and Gorka Catediano on percussion, creating a shared musical exchange.

🎶 The ensembles and the Musikene venue

The event brings both ensembles together at Musikene, an established hub for musical education and performance in the city of San Sebastián.

The programme offers the opportunity to experience the meeting of these groups and their work for saxophone quartet and the trio of txistu, accordion, and percussion within a single concert.

✨ An inspiring chamber music evening featuring Quasar Quartet and Trio Zukan in Donostia.
