LABO XL 2026: New Spaces and Performing Arts Festival

Donostia becomes the hub of contemporary performing arts with the eighth edition of LABO XL, an event dedicated to exploring new dramaturgies, movement, and the body in unconventional settings. 🎭✨

📖 Programme and Stage Works

This edition gathers 22 local, national, and international companies presenting 22 productions alongside four mediation sessions. The lineup includes 16 dance shows, four theatre pieces, one contemporary circus show, and a concert, featuring four world premieres, two Spanish premieres, and seven Basque premieres.

The festival opens on November 12 with the world premiere of "Cuerpas" by Compañía X from Eibar, a creation developed under the EKI residency initiative supported by LABO XL and Tabakalera.

🎭 Guest Territory and International Reach

The Balearic Islands stand as this year's featured guest territory with four companies: BAAL, Alejandro Fuster, Maya Triay i Mariona Jaume, and La Perrerie. International artists from Portugal, France, and Estonia round out the bill, marking Estonia's debut at the festival to build bridges with the Basque scene.
