📖 Scenic road movie and autofiction

The play follows Ainara, Urko, and Miren, three theater company members facing personal and artistic crises, on a journey to Mexico. Supported by an Etxepare Basque Institute grant, they set out to interview members of the Basque diaspora.

An unexpected event completely derails their travel plans, sparking an eccentric adventure filled with car chases, hallucinogenic trips, and a troublesome chihuahua. Framed as autofiction, the script explores the search for identity and human foolishness.

🎭 Dejabu and live stagecraft

Conceived and directed by Dejabu, the piece was written in collaboration with Mariana de la Mata and features live video design by David Aguilar, who also performs alongside Ainara Gurrutxaga, Miren Alcalá, and Urko Redondo.

The creative team includes music by Ander Fernández, lighting by Andoni Mendizabal, costume design by Barbara Rasso, and artistic support from Iara Solano.

✨ A fresh theatrical journey combining live cinema techniques and existential humor.
