📖 From the Silk Road to the album
Driven by his deep passion for modal music, Ibantuta travelled across twelve countries along the ancient Silk Road. Over the course of this voyage, he collaborated with nearly forty local musicians, playing and exploring various traditional string instruments.
Throughout this path, the oud serves as an Ariadne's thread for the traveller, enabling him to trace his own way through a labyrinth of auditory and visual landscapes stretching from China and Central Asia to the Near East.
This extensive artistic journey culminated in the album Zetaren bideak musika hariak, a musical creation paying homage to millenary musical traditions passed down through centuries.
