📖 The mystery of a family and the power of fear

Herentzia unfolds as a nocturnal, oneiric, and hallucinatory journey into a family mystery, reflecting on fear's ability to create realities. Structured as a suspenseful thriller, this contemporary tragedy explores an essential question: how does one manage the incomprehensible?

The plot follows a traumatic event that shatters the life of a couple. The action takes place in the early hours inside the bedroom of Javi and Alicia during their final night together. Surrounded by memories, desires, obsessions, and dread, they desperately strive to recover their former selves and become who they once were.

The cast features Isidoro Fernández, Aizpea Goenaga, Garbiñe Insausti, and Iñaki Rikarte. The play is directed by Rolando San Martín and Iñaki Rikarte, based on Rikarte's original script, with Basque translation by Aizpea Goenaga.

The staging features set design by Kulunka Teatro, lighting by David Bernués, music and sound design by Luis Miguel Cobo, and costumes by Ikerne Giménez, produced by Kulunka Teatro with assistant producer Nagore Plazaola.
