📖 Civil rights on trial
The narrative follows Ainhoa, a young scholar who has just earned her doctorate in Political Science and defends her thesis before an academic panel. Her research addresses civil disobedience as a valid and necessary practice in modern democracies, reviewing key historical milestones in humanity's civil rights struggles.
In parallel, the play delves into the controversial 18/98 macro-trial, initiated by judge Garzón, which prosecuted individuals defending civil rights from a foundation linked to social movements. Moving between academia and the courtroom, the piece explores the foundations and necessity of peaceful dissent in contemporary society.
