📖 Basque folklore and queer perspective

Maruxak merges drag, music, and Basque traditional elements to reconstruct folklore from an activist, community, and queer perspective.

Through projects such as Folklore Travesti, the ensemble challenges conventional gender roles, transforming spaces of celebration into environments of diversity and authentic expression.

🎶 The collective and the Bibra cycle

Founded in 2019 in Mendillorri (Iruña), the Maruxak collective has performed across Navarre and received the LAIAK LGTBIQ+ award. They come to San Sebastián while preparing a new tour and an upcoming EP featuring prominent collaborations.

This live show takes place under Bibra, an initiative that forms part of Kutxa Fundazioa's regular performing arts programming.

✨ A vibrant musical evening reimagining traditional roots through community and celebration.
