📖 Contemporary jazz and original arrangements

Almere's project features a live repertoire integrating original standard arrangements, their own compositions, and reinterpretations of songs by singer-songwriters such as Silvio Rodríguez. Drawing inspiration from artists like Gorka Benítez, Machetazo, New Jazz Underground, and Immanuel Wilkins, the quartet proposes a forward-thinking way to experience jazz.

Despite their youth, the band members bring strong live performance experience and aim to open up jazz to new audiences and settings.

🎷 The band

Almere consists of Izan Quintela on tenor saxophone, Abel Cabello on guitar, Antonio López on electric bass, and Maren Seijo on drums, four emerging musicians from Musikene reshaping contemporary jazz.
