📖 The power of connection on stage

In a time often marked by division, "Afines" celebrates common ground. The piece depicts a shared universe where two performers inhabit the same space and time, dancing a common language. Their bodies intertwine, orbit one another between attraction and distance, and develop an intense relationship alternating between freezing and burning, forgetting and remembering.

Drawing inspiration from Kae Tempest's notion that creativity stimulates connection and self-awareness, the choreography makes creative movement the only viable path toward togetherness.

🎭 Marcat Dance and the artistic team

Marcat Dance features dancers Alessia Sinato and Aaron Vazquez on stage for this production. The staging includes musical design by Jose Pablo Polo, dramaturgy by Isabel Vázquez, costume design by Moises Nieto, and lighting and technical direction by Mamen B. Gil.

✨ A captivating evening of contemporary dance at Gazteszena celebrating human resonance.
